MEET ADVENTURE MOM KATHY DALTON
Chief of Everything
I’m a thirty-something active mother of three young children who married my kindergarten crush, Jon. Together, we live in one of Salt Lake City’s historic neighborhoods with our dog Banjo.
We have an insatiable appetite for the outdoor recreation available just steps from their front door. Our most loved sports include hiking, cross- country skiing and most self-propelled sports that involve fresh-air; family togetherness and an up-close look at nature.
A degree in Communication Marketing from BYU and more than 15 years of experience in advertising, marketing, communication and product development make Kathy a valuable resource in connecting with brands with consumers through on-line and social media.
Kathy is a seasoned blogger who began corporate blogging in 2007 for a large health-science company writing posts about nutrition and weight loss.
MEET ADVENTURE MOM MARY EDWARDS
Chief of Awesome
I’m in my late 30’s and a mother of 5 year old twin girls. We enjoy adventures outdoors, from catching butterflies to dipping toes in rivers, to making s’mores up the canyon.
After receiving my Master of Professional Communication degree at Westminster College, I worked as the Marketing Manager at the Utah Symphony & Opera creating print ads, program material, and direct mail copy.
I’ve also worked as a Camp Director and Program Director at Brighton Girls Camp for several years. The camp directly influences 12 to 13 year girls to appreciate nature, become self reliant, protect the environment and enjoy the outdoors.
A few interesting things about me…I love playing basketball and tennis. I know more about sports than my spouse. I’m extremely competitive. Extremely. For example, when I saw another coworker getting to work earlier than me, I ran into the building and took shortcuts to in order to make it to my office before he did. My first fight with my spouse was over the score in our tennis match (I won 6-2, 6-2).
