Vacation Packing List For Winter Travel

Vacation Packing List For Winter Travel

Winter is right around the corner, and I have created an awesome winter packing list for your next getaway. You want to have the right clothes so the trip goes as smoothly as possible.  This season I purchased a Mountain Collective Pass and have upcoming winter road trips this season. This is my go-to packing list for all winter travel.

Thinking about layers when packing for winter travel is vital. Layers are easy to add or peel off depending on the weather conditions. It also important to think about how you can use an item in different ways. Leggings can be paired with a sweater to hit the town, for a yoga session, or as another layer with your long underwear on really cold ski days.

Winter Packing List

  1. Long underwear tops and bottoms
  2. Quick-dry underwear
  3. Snow pants
  4. Snow coat or other warm coat
  5. Fleece jacket or other mid-layer jacket
  6. Wool and/or ski socks
  7. Hat
  8. Wool Gloves
  9. Ski Gloves
  10. Scarf
  11. Balaclava
  12. Swimsuit
  13. Snow boots
  14. Leather boots
  15. Leggings
  16. Sweatpants
  17. Sweaters
  18. Jeans
  19. Flannel or other button up-shirt
  20. Sunglasses
  21. Lip balm with SPF

Dressing correctly will keep you and everyone else happy! Using this winter packing list is perfect for cold winter travel.

Needing some inspiration? Winter can be a great time to visit National Parks.  They are much quieter and less crowded. Check out Kate Siber’s book National Parks of the USA, and listen to the Go Adventure Mom podcast with Kate.  Or check out our post on Outstanding Winter Camping Destinations.  You will have ideas in no time.

Safe travels on your next winter vacation!
