5 Museums to Visit in San Diego
San Diego is known for its sunshine and beaches. There are some true hidden educational pieces hidden! My husband and I just visited San Diego this past February and I have to admit that we had a great time. Visiting San Diego and taking the time to visit these museums was a great idea. I want to share just a handful of museums to visit, while in San Diego.
While visiting San Diego, California, Balboa Park is a must. Balboa Park is a 1,200 acre museum type place to visit. We’re talking museums, theaters, and even the San Diego Zoo. Truly, an awe inspiring place to visit while in San Diego! You almost have to take a couple of days to experience Balboa Park in its entirety.
One of the best parts of going to a museum is watching children explore. I loved that the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum focuses on kids so much. There are always a ton of exhibits to explore and discover while in San Diego.
La Jolla Area Museums
What’s better than going to an area that has multiple museums? When you’re in San Diego, give the La Jolla Area Museums a try. There are 10+ museums to try out. Imagine being able to walk around and go to any museum you want and then grab some lunch at a top rated restaurant and it all happens right at La Jolla! Kids and adults alike love to learn about science, you’re never too old or too young to learn, which is the best part of the Fleet Science Center.
