My Friday Faves- Breastfeeding Supplies

As a 4th time nursing mother, I am always looking for items that will help me collect and freeze my milk better. This week I was able to try several different items that would benefit any breastfeeding mother. I wanted to share these items with you because before this, I had never used them, but these items are so brilliant every breastfeeding mother should own them.

Milkies- Milk Trays

These milk trays from Milkies are brilliant. You can freeze your breastmilk in a small square that will fit through the opening of any bottle. I think that’s pretty genius. I always had to unfreeze my breastmilk from a bag and then stick it in the bottle. Now you can save yourself a few steps and freeze it right from the breast pump. I thought the Milk Trays were really sturdy and I also love that they have a cover to put over the breastmilk. After all, this is what we give our babies to eat, so making sure it’s sterile is important. And I’m not sure if they makers of the Milk Trays considered the fact that these are versatile and you will be able to freeze baby food in these trays long after baby is done breastfeeding. I love it!

Milkies Milk-Saver

Man, what I wouldn’t have given to have had this Milk-Saver back when I first had our little Hannah. My nipples were always leaking breastmilk! I can still use it now, but because my milk supply is established, I don’t leak as much during a feeding. I am bigger breasted though, so I would need to wear a bra while collecting the breastmilk. Which is more than okay. If you don’t wear a bra, you need to hold the Milk-Saver in place. I still love this Milk-Saver from Milkies though because you can save literally every drop of liquid gold.

This is probably my favorite item from Milkies. You get to freeze a bag of breastmilk flat, isn’t that every breastfeeding mother’s dream? I also love that you can organize the milk from oldest to newest. I would think that the amount of breastmilk a mama makes during those first few weeks though, she would need several Freeze gadgets from Milkies. This is also great because you will save a lot of space in your freezer when storing the breastmilk. I don’t know about you, but mine is all crazy looking from my baby born in June!

I believe that Milkies breastfeeding products are the missing component to every breastfeeding mom. I think these would be a great gift to a new breastfeeding mom. The Milk-Saver, Freeze, and Milk Trays would make her life that much easier!

Rachel’s Remedy

This is by far something every breastfeeding mother should have. It’s a wearable moist heating therapy pad for nursing moms. I don’t know if you have ever had a sore nipple or mastitis or a clogged milk duct, but you need something like this. She also throws in a few nursing pads, which is also really great for a breastfeeding mom. Something like this is great because you never know when you’ll need it. Breastfeeding ailments pop up unannounced, so I promise you that Rachel’s Remedy will come in handy more than once in your breastfeeding journey.

As a mom who has breastfed for nearly four years, I encourage you to check out these products directed at breastfeeding mothers. They’re practical and something I wish I had 6.5 years ago when my first baby was born.
