Creating that Perfect Mom and Me Outfit
“Mommy, when we get home can I dress up in your clothes?” says my daughter in the car.
“Sure!” I respond.
One of her favorite things to do lately is to dress up in my clothes. She’ll come upstairs wearing my shirt and shoes and beaming with pride, “Look, I’m a Mommy!”
I love that she dresses up like and wants to be a mom one day. She plays with her baby dolls and takes such great care of them. She is great at nurturing, holding, singing, feeding and changing her baby dolls.
To be honest, I’ve never been one for dressing like my daughter and identical outfits, but I do think there is something fun and bonding about showing my daughter that we are alike.
