Lonely planet Adventures In Series…
As a mom of three I am always looking for educational activities to wear my children out. With summer only a few weeks away, I am making my list of ideas on Pinterest to teach our children about different cultures and places.
More than anything I want them to learn about different cultures, religions and food.
In a recent interview on our local Fox station I talked about this desire to create children that are compassionate and the love each other no matter where they’re from. This is something so close to my heart.
Living in a very vanilla state we aren’t exposed to different cultures as much as we would like. Most children and adults that we interact are similar to us. It doesn’t provide much cultural diversity.
This is a big part of why we find it so important to travel.
Travel creates opportunities to learn about others and by learning about others traditions, cities and lives, we (hopefully) can create children that care and are compassionate and love others.
Lonely planet just launch this great series of books called “Adventures In” new series and we love it they are a mix between a sticker book and a coloring book and really educational and fun. They are packed full of activities and have over 250 stickers.
We had fun using ours while watching the Amazing Race the other day!
We like how each book has a different focus.
ADVENTURES IN FAMOUS PLACES
ADVENTURES IN SMELLY PLACES
ADVENTURES IN NOISY PLACES
My children are 7, 4 and one and they all love learning about different cultures this is a must-have for your summer exploration activities.
Lonely Planet wants to give you a set of their “Adventures In” books! This is a $30 value.
