READ THE OFFICIAL GEMALTO USA ANNOUNCEMENT HERE:
Daily Challenges will take place for a week on an NFC quest in which they competed against each other to see who could be the most successful in going contactless.
{I’ll be honest, I had to wiki what NFC means: “Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphonesand similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimeters. Present and anticipated applications include contactless transactions, data exchange, and simplified setup of more complex communications such as Wi-Fi.[1] Communication is also possible between an NFC device and an unpowered NFC chip, called a “tag”.[2])}
We’ll be blogging, tweeting and videoing our challenges daily.
I’m even getting fancy 1 on 1 training tomorrow on how to use the new technology and make purchases with the Isis phone.
So, let’s be honest. Why does this matter to you? Because we want show the nation what Salt Lake City is made of. That we are an amazing social media community and a tech savvy city/state.
I’m reading up on this as much as I can.
To say I’m a little intimidated is an understatement.
I’m a “mom blogger”.
I write about family adventures.
Not tech guru wizard skills.
But I am uber competitive.
And have REALLY smart, funny, supportive friends.
So, here’s the thing… I”m going to need A LOT of help from YOU!
We can crowd source and am asking begging you for support…oh and there will be incentives for helping me too along the way :)
