{Baby} Playtex Sippy Cup 101 Party

A major milestone has been reached. Baby Girl is weaned.

She has made the transition from nursing to formula. She weaned herself and has been responding well to formula. While at the store last week, I was looking for pink sippy cups because all our sippy cups are blue. I know that seems silly because she doesn’t really care what color her sippy cup is. But I thought she deserved some pink in her blue world. I was impressed with the selection of sippy cups and trainer cups.

In addition, I have been asked to be a part of the Playtex Baby Sippy Cup Blog Tour. It provides an opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the past few weeks about making the transition from bottle to cup and it also provides a great excuse for us to get together as moms and support each other. The party will take place next Tuesday. I’ll post pictures of the party.

Right now, I’m getting ready and having fun planning the event. I’m making some cute decorations and already drooling over our desert selection: mini chocolate brownie cupcakes and caramel cookies. I’d like to make a cute little pendant banner, too.

I am excited for the party where we will talk about the transition form bottle to cup as well as for those children learning to use a straw. I’m thinking of having the mama’s drink out of the sippy cups for added fun.

One of my favorite sippy cup moments happened at church. My friend had her husband run home from church to get a sippy cup for their son. He came back with two: one for the little boy and one for her filled with Diet Coke. She sipped her Diet Coke incognito. Do you have a favorite sippy cup moment? As part of the Playtex Baby Sippy Cup Blog Tour I will give away a sweet Playtex package on my blog.  Share your favorite sippy cup story and win this great prize!

LOL! I am 99% sure I know who the Diet Coke sneak was! Okay, my favorite sippy moment: the doctor asking, at P’s 18 month appointment, “She’s completely weaned to a sippy, right?” Me: “Uh… no?” Go me! I picked up the Twist ‘n’ Clicks (one for the gotta-have-everything 3 year old too) and she was weaned to a sippy in days.

If you count my son taking his new sippy cup and throwing it across the kitchen to display his excitement about the switch “Funny”,than that would be it for me!

I don’t have a transition story, but when I was packing my hospital bag for my first child I thought it very funny that my husband brought me a sippy cup, because “you never know how advanced she’ll be.

Well, we never really used bottles that often… Once a day when I was working (part time). So, the “transition” wasn’t a big deal. Now, trying to get my 2 yr old to use a real cup properly w/out spilling everything? We’re working on it!

Could totally use this giveaway since we’ll have a new baby in April!

My first child is about to transition from a bottle to a sippy cup. I’ve loved using the Playtex insert bottles. They are amazing for tr mom on the go. The best part is you don’t have to wash the bottle. You just throw it away. This was a lifesaver as we traveled with our four month old around Denmark.
