Summer Fun

This week I’m working on creating a list of weekly activities to do with my friends and neighbors. If you are in Utah, I thought you’d like to know about my sister in-law’s website SHERI’S LIST. She has put together a bunch of fun family activities.

10am Become a Junior Ranger at the visitors patio at Timpanogus Cave. Earn a badge, patch or certificate.
FREE Fishing Day in Utah. It’s the only day in the year that you don’t need a license to fish. Enjoy!!
8 – 12 National Trails Day – Trail clean-up, maintenance and fun. Breakfast, clean, lunch. Contact kkenley@rei.com for which trail location they’re going to be at.
Free day at the Ogden Nature Center (9am – 4pm)
2pm Sprague library Reading Kick-off Paul Brewer Magician (pick up your summer reading passport)
2pm Foothill library Zoo Mania (pick up your summer reading passport) (amazing animals from around the world, tortoise, sugar glider, chinchilla and more)

7 – 8pm Free Family Yoga at the Downtown Main LIbrary, Story Room – All Welcome – Class taught by Green Tree Yoga. Fun activity to do with your kids.
Thursday, June 9
11am – noon Holladay library – Kid Trekkers – (ages 6 +) go to different countries sampling food, culture, music, games, and learn a few words. Get passport time each time you come.
Zoo members can stay late. Enter the zoo as late as 8:00pm, Zoo closes at 9:00.
2 – 3pm Sprague library – Reptile Rescue will show-n-tell their non-native reptiles to children and their families.

  1. Wow! So many things to do, how do I decide? I want to check out the elephant’s 60’s birthday party. I’m currently putting a list together for a Sugarhouse playgroup. I’ll have to email it to you next week in case you’d like to meet up this summer.
