This post is brought to you by VisitPITTSBURGH! Thanks for hosting our activities while in Pittsburgh!
It seems to me that my family REALLY loves science. My boys could have stayed at the Carnegie Science Center all day and would have been super happy. My family had the chance to spend about 4 hours at the Museum and we had a blast. My kids are ages 7,5,3, and 1 and each one of us had a blast, including my husband and I. Here are some of the highlights of our trip to the museum.
Highmark Sportworks: We actually went to this exhibit last, but it was one of our favorites. There was a ton to do! My kids loved bouncing, the Pitching Cage, and the Yo-Yo! I bet your kids would also love it.
H2Oh: This was another fun exhibit that my family really enjoyed. In fact, we probably spent an hour just at the water table. I personally love the water table because it was something all of my kids could do.
SpacePlace: My older boys really got into the whole space theme at SpacePlace. They had so much fun exploring and seeing the universe through space!
BLUE: Those building blocks were something else. I mean, where else do kids get to experience building blocks that are the size of them? BLUE! is located on the fourth floor and was definitely one of our favorite exhibits.
roboWorld: A world that is run by robots is an interesting one. We enjoyed playing with the Robots and interacting with them. My five-year-old played several rounds of Air Hockey with the Hockeybot. Athina the intelligent bot was also pretty sassy and fun. Everyone in my family found a bot that they loved!
I wish we had something like the Carnegie Science Center in South Bend, Indiana. I truly loved the experience and I look forward to going back. Thanks for the fun!
