Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

MOM disclaimer

Just a few short weeks ago our favorite groundhog predicted that the long winter we’ve been experiencing would be coming to a close. Spring is officially on its way! We can finally say goodbye to the cloudy weather and dreary days and welcome the sunshine back into our lives. Oh, how I’ve missed good sunshine. The patchy, inconsistent sunshine we’ve experienced over the last few months just doesn’t come close to the natural heat and vibrancy that spring sunshine brings to our lives. In fact, I love the look and feel of natural light and sunshine so much, that when we remodeled our basement I made it my mission to install windows that would welcome as much of it into that part of our home as possible.

As much as we love the natural light that now spills into our home, windows do require a lot of upkeep to keep them clean and keep the sunlight filtering through. Especially after all the snow we experienced this winter, our windows desperately needed a good cleaning. If you live in a state where there was a lot of snow then you know the struggle all too well. Snow has a tendency to leave your windows streaky and dirty, the effect of which is quite unsightly after awhile. Thankfully there are some great products available that can help with the upkeep of your windows and leave them streak free and able to let the maximum amount of sunlight filter through into your home.

One of my favorites thus far is a simple remedy that has been around for ages. If you’ve ever cleaned glass in your house, whether it be a table top, sliding glass door, window or mirror, then you know the product I’m talking about. Windex® Original Glass Cleaner has been hailed as America’s #1 glass cleaner and has been trusted as such for generations. It’s famous for its streak free shine and overall squeaky clean effect. It’s fabulous for cleaning whatever glass surface you happen to have and works wonders on smudges, finger prints, dirt and grime. Thanks to its formulation with Ammonia D, it truly works great on messes before you even start wiping the mess away.

Windex® has been made famous for cleaning windows and leaving a flawless finish but it’s also great for use on the following surfaces:

  • Windows
  • Mirrors
  • Sealed Marble
  • Sealed Granite
  • Stainless Steel
  • UV-protected Windows
  • Glass Top Stoves
  • Bathroom Fixtures
  • Shower Doors
  • Plastic
  • Vinyl
  • Aluminum
  • and more!

So, no matter what surface you’re setting out to clean, don’t despair at the mess. You can head to your local Wal-Mart and pick up a bottle of Windex® Original Glass Cleaner or other Windex cleaning products for an affordable price and get the gleaming finish you’ve been hoping for.
