From the very start of their family owned and operated company, Haba has been dedicated to the satisfaction of their customers. Located in Bad Rodach, Haba believes in the importance of both social responsibility and the maintenance and increase in jobs in their area. Haba was founded in 1938 in an empty factory by Anton Engel and Eugen Habermaab and later was taken over by Eugen in 1940 when his equal partners pulled out of the company. After taking control of the company, Eugen saw it through the second world war before unexpectedly passing away in 1955. After his passing, Eugen’s wife, Luise, a mother to their 4 children, took over in her husbands place and was later joined by her son, Klaus. Together they ran Haba until the death of Luise in 2003.

I was recently given the opportunity to work with Haba to review their line of Children’s games. I was sent their Haba My Very First Games – Hungry as a Bear game to try with my family and to share with my readers.

Haba Hungry As a Bear Game Geared specifically towards children ages 2+, Hungry as a Bear is the perfect way to get your little ones started with enjoying family game night. This particular game can also be used as a nifty new tool in getting your LO to try new foods and encourage them to eat new fresh veggies. The game itself centers around Little Bear, who is starving and in need of his lunch; he needs your little ones help to eat his fresh fruits and veggies! Simply arrange the portions of fruits and veggies on the plate, roll the die and use the spoon, provided, to feed Little Bear the food that matches the picture on the die.

Hungry as a Bear helps encourage memory, dexterity, and language skills. It’s great for one on one play or for groups of 3 if used during family night. It’s the perfect starter game for young children.
