Disney Side Home Celebration

Party time!

We held a multi-generation birthday party for my three children, my mom and my sisters 2 kids.

ALL three of my kids have birthday’s in January. Our oldest turned 7, our daughter 4 and our youngest 1.

This year my mom turned 60 and was born the year DISNEYLAND opened. My mom has always felt a strong connection to Disneyland because of this, so we decided to hold a Disney themed birthday party! Disney is a perfect birthday theme because it really is multi-generational. Who doesn’t love Disney?

So to celebrate a first birthday and a sixtieth birthday, we felt like we should do something special.

PREPARATION

We tried to keep it really simple and just invited family. We made pizzas and got everything ready.

DECORATIONS

For the decorations, the kids had fun gathering all their Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse toys. This was a really fun way to decorate as the little kids got to play with the stuffed animals when we were finished.

CAKE

There lots of fun Mickey Mouse and Minnie mouse cake recipes, but we opted for a store bought cake that are really cupcakes with a mile of frosting. Love the beach theme! The kids loved the individual cupcakes and licking off all the frosting.

GAMES

We played Disney Trivia and had the kids make a family history tree. We talked about our ancestors and how we are all related. It was a fun activity to keep the kids occupied while we put the finishing touches on the party.

First Birthday

The baby had his first taste of cake and had no fear digging in. I cannot believe my baby boy is one years old.

Incorporating Disney into your birthday party is a great way to show your Disney side (#disneyside). It is a fun way to talk about prior trips to Disneyland or plan future trips.
