News For Moms Who Fly With Kids — You Can Leave Your Tablet ON!!

How to keep kids happy on an air plane Most parents who travel, especially with kids know how difficult it can be sometimes to be on an airplane with a child, especially a toddler.

Seriously, I have panic attacks remembering days before iPads and tablets were a thing.  I racked my brain for weeks before a flight with kids to think of ways to keep them entertained.

We had a DVD player, but the battery always died 2 hours into the flight rendering it useless.  Can I keep my tablet on during a flight?

I always packed a bag of goodies including, silly putty, coloring books, snacks, little games and whatever else I could think of to keep little minds occupied and quiet on a long flight.

Well, something big is happening in the Airline Industry.  It seems the tide of shutting your technology down is turning.  It sounds like they’re going to LET US KEEP OUR iPAD’S ON!

See this article for more details.

How to keep kids happy on a plane Let’s all do a little happy dance that we don’t have to shut the game off or prematurely end your HAPPY child’s movie before it’s over, just because the landing gear is coming down.  We all know this is a recipe for turning a Happy child into and Angry/Bored/Whining child.

So fly, fly AdventureMom.  Fly like the wind, and keep your child entertained while you’re doing it!

I’m an early thirties mother of two and wife to a husband who is pretty much the wind beneath my wings (and the money behind my debit card). I enjoy writing and laughing at the things I write. After graduating from Weber State University I pursued a joint career in full-time mothering and part-time writing. I discovered a passion for learning and writing about community and women’s issues. Besides writing, I enjoy doing things I’m not sure I can do. Some things I’ve failed at. Others I have accomplished. Other interesting things about me…I’m very short. I survived being sprayed by a skunk. I love my pet hibiscus flowering plant almost as much as my human children. I stalk celebrities, but not for a living. I swim surprisingly fast.
